The continuous working temperature of the mineral cable is 250 ℃, and the power can be continuously supplied for 3 hours at 950 ℃ -1000 ℃, and it can work near the melting point of copper at 1083 ℃ for a short time or an extraordinary period. Due to the excellent performance of the mineral insulated fire-resistant cable, it is suitable for lines with a rated voltage below 1000V.
(1) Super fire resistance of cable
Whether in a factory or a building, the safety of electrical wiring is of paramount importance. According to statistics from relevant national departments, among the causes of fires, fires caused by electrical lines account for more than 50%. The cable is not only the main part of the line, but also the link that is difficult to protect. Therefore, the cable must not only have the ability to resist external flame damage, but also have its own characteristics that will not generate a fire source. Because the mineral insulated fire-resistant cable is made of inorganic materials, the insulator magnesium oxide will not generate an open flame when it is overloaded or short-circuited. Therefore, a line composed of mineral insulated cables will never cause a fire. If a fire is caused by other reasons, the cable will not only be tested by the raging fire, but also be continuously impacted by other falling objects. At this time, whether the cable does not generate smoke and toxic gases, whether the fire equipment can start normally, the fire is extinguished, and the evacuation of personnel is the key to evaluating the fire resistance of the line.
(2) Fire resistance
The scheme specified in BS6387 (British Standard) is the true test of fire resistance performance of cables in disaster fires. Because the cable is not immune to external interference during the fire. It will be subject to fire water. The continuous impact of fire and falling objects and other heavy objects. When the plastic refractory cable is burned, the mica and the insulation will form a hard shell and a carbon shell, respectively. The carbon shell will be conductive when it encounters water, and the hard mica shell will fall off when it encounters the impact of water or other heavy objects. After many tests by foreign authoritative organizations, it is proved that only mineral insulated cables can meet the BS6387 (British Standard) test. Other fire-resistant cables (NH) insulated by mica cannot guarantee the foolproof power supply in a fire.
